Hunting, for us, is not all about the kill.
Hunting is about being ethical and using skill, research and pure determination to outwit the animal’s instinct. There is a lot more to hunting than sitting in a stand and shooting at the first deer you see. It is about improving the habitat and maintaining a healthy herd.
There is a lot of work that goes into planting food plots, mowing woods roads and placement of stands. Then there is time spent placing cameras to find the patterns and see what is the area. It is also about taking time to have your weapons sighted in and in good working shape.
We target practice and that is key to being confident with your shot.
Fortunate for us, we both enjoy hunting. We enjoy watching the sun rise while we are in our stands. The waiting. The anticipation. The hunt. There are a lot of days that the sun sets on our hunts and we go home with only the commitment to be back in the morning. That is what enjoying the hunt is all about.
